Easy Breezy Weekend Reads – Inspiring Ideas for Your Kitchen

Happy Weekend, sweet friends!

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Our sunshine has been replaced temporarily with some gray skies and rain, so it’s a perfect time for us to work on some home projects today. We’re having fun!

I’ve lately been concentrating on practicing my food photography, so many of my latest blog posts are recipes. In case you missed them, here they are:

Since I’ve been spending so much time baking and cooking for my food photography practice, I decided I wanted to spiff up my kitchen a bit.

It’s not the time for a big overhaul, but I wanted to make it feel and function better.

So, I put my camera down and picked up a paintbrush!

I’m in awe over the painted marble countertops that people are doing these days. They look amazing!

As I was already half way through painting my kitchen, I decided to look for inspiration pictures – a little backwards, I know! My eyes landed on this picture by Proverbs 31 Girl, and I was instantly in love. Did you know it’s a trend now to paint the inside of windows black? I’m a fan…

I’ve been working on projects and ideas one by one in my kitchen and googling ideas to see if I want to tackle them. Here are some of my latest searches.

• I’d really like to try a project like this. 
• I had no idea what a difference these could make. It’s amazing!
• I’ve just started to dream about kitchen appliances. Dreaming doesn’t cost a thing!
• This is a simple, clever modern shelf decor item you could make in a few minutes!
• Here are some great ideas for creatively decorating blank spaces in your home – and adding storage, too!
• The before & after of this space is amazing!
• Creative ways to store your measuring cups and spoons.

I hadn’t even heard of “cottagecore” decor, but if this is what it looks like, I’m a fan!
