More tips for making Strawberry Pie with Jello:

  • You can make this pie using a pre-made pie shell that you bake off if you prefer.
  • This recipe also makes yummy strawberry pie tarts. Purchase pre-made tart shells, bake them, and  put a small amount of strawberries and sauce in each one. Serve on cute wooden round platters and they will be a HIT at your next large group event or family reunion!
  • The filling could also be used with a graham cracker crust instead of a traditional pie crust.
  • If you need to make a dessert for a large crowd, double this recipe and place in a 9X13 dish and serve in squares.

  1. Yes! I remember TVs with antennaes and wall-rotary dial phones with party lines! Lol!
Your strawberry pie looks so fresh and delicious and easy to make! I love berry time! Thanks for sharing 😉

  2. This looks delicious and quick and I can’t wIt to make it- especially the crust. I have a few questions. 1) Can you use sugar free Jello in this recipe? 2) One pint of strawberries doesn’t seem like much fruit for a whole pie. Have you ever used more strawberries? 3) Have you ever made this with other berries? Possible using unflavored gelatin if there is no corresponding Jello?

    1. Hi there! Those are all great questions. I have never tried sugar free Jello for this recipe, but I’m sure it would work the same way. Feel free to use as many strawberries as you like – if the crust is too full, though, perhaps all your jello sauce won’t fit… That’s the only problem I could foresee. I’ve never made this with other berries, but I’m sure it would be delicious! I’ve never done anything with unflavored gelatin, so I don’t know how that would work. You’d have to add something to it to give it flavor.

    2. I got this filling from some church ladies years ago and make it at least once when local strawberries are ripe! SO good!
My favourite variation is using fresh raspberries with raspberry jello. Fresh peach is also good with peach jello.
Don’t recommend using grape jello with fresh blueberries. Lol! It tasted confusing!
