Small laundry rooms aren’t all that unusual.
I can say that with mild authority as I have now researched “small laundry rooms” extensively on Pinterest!;)
My sudden curiousity over this came as a result of my beloved (and favorite!) washing machine dieing at the beginning of the year. I figured as long as I was going to have to invest in a new machine, I might as well try to make the laundry room space look as nice as possible, too. (One thing always leads to another.)
I hadn’t spent much time planning a laundry space, so I decided to learn from others who had. Here’s what I discovered: Even though a laundry room space might be small, it can have big style and function.
Let me show you.
Adding open shelving above a washer and dryer provides great storage space.
This small space incorporates beautiful finishes. I love those subway tiles, granite countertop, and stainless shelves. The crisp white walls and tiles make the space feel large and spacious ~ even though it’s small!
Laundry spaces can function well -despite where they are located.
Although this laundry space is in the garage, it is neat and organized with cupboards above, hangers below, and cute accessories!
Working with existing features ~ like a window ~ can enhance the laundry space.
This basement laundry room space is rather large and I really love the industrial feel of it. The pipe shelving and bar for hanging clothes stand out beautifully in this well lit space.
Baskets provide a neat and tidy solution to storage.
I love the contrast of the dark wall against the while appliances & accessories. Mixed with the warm wood tone of the shelves, I think it’s the perfect combination!
Adding a built in cupboard can be a pretty and practical solution.
I love, love, love the bright and happy space of pretty wallpaper, striped floor and rolled towels in baskets. So cute!!
Lighting up a small space can make it feel so much more spacious and happy.
Those cupboards above and the cute shelves with baskets underneath seem like a perfect organizational solution.
