Classic no bake cookies – These no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies with peanut butter are quick and delicious!
These chocolate peanut butter no bake cookies were the first cookie recipe I ever made.
I remember standing in our farmhouse kitchen with my older sister on a Sunday afternoon stirring up a batch of these.
They don’t require any unusual ingredients and they only take a few minutes to make – literally!
How to Make Chocolate Peanut Butter No Bake Cookies
Ingredients you’ll need for this recipe:
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 Tablespoons cocoa
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 3 cups quick oatmeal
Steps for making these classic no bake cookies
In a saucepan, bring the sugar, butter, and milk to a rolling boil while stirring constantly.
Boil for exactly 1 minute. (The boiling time is super important, here. If you boil it for too long, the cookies will crumble. If you don’t boil it enough, they will be sticky.)
After the boiling time is up, add in the vanilla, cocoa, peanut butter, and oatmeal.
Once stirred through, immediately drop the “dough” by the tablespoon full on a parchment or wax paper lined cookie sheet.
Let cool before eating.
