My First “Curbside” Treasures
I often hear about people who do amazing furniture transformations from “curbside” finds ~ You know, free stuff just sitten’ out on the curb!
However, here in my life on the island, there are no “curbs” to be found, and generally, I don’t see “free” things sitting out in people’s driveways.
But…there are always exceptions to the norm.
Yesterday, I saw this:
Beside these:
Be still my heart!
We at first didn’t have time to stop and get them. But, bless my son’s heart, he picked them up for me on his way home from work.
They are actually one hot mess…
The legs…and lack of them…are the main problem.
Yet, I find them beautiful.
I wish I knew their history. If only they could talk….
I want to somehow make them useful and pretty again.
I’m gonna need some wood glue and clamps.
And patience ~
Lots and lots of patience.
I just my husband up the street to collect something and someone else had already picked it up…oh well I am glad yours was still there
Great chairs! If you cant get the legs repaired maybe you can make something like this-

The chairs have unique details and I know you'll make them beautiful! I LOVE finding treasures at the curbside, now that we live in the country it doesn't happen often. I'm looking forward to your post (one day) that reveals what you've done with them.
Hugs,
Heather
