Supplies needed to create your own gift tags:

This pretty set of free printable watercolor gift tags can be printed on your home computer:

Free printable gift tag sheet with 9 different designs, including the sentiments "With Deepest Sympathy", "Happy Birthday", "to and from", "Thinking of You", and "With Love".

Print these gift tags quickly and easily with your home printer.

If you don’t happen to have a printer at home, they can also be printed at a local print shop.

I recommend using a heavier weight of paper like cardstock to print these on. It will give a nice, sturdy finished product.

Use the lines provided for cutting out the gift tags:

A paper cutter can be used to cut apart the square gift tags quickly by following the cut guide lines.

A paper cutter can make quick work of cutting apart the tags following the guide lines.

I designed these printable gift tags so they could be cut apart using a paper cutter or pair of scissors. My very favorite paper cutter is similar to this one. I’ve used it for years and still love it.

A corner round punch or any other decorative punch can be used to give more interest to the tag shapes.

An appropriately sized punch or a corner punch like this one can be used to add interest to the square gift tag shape.

If you prefer to make fancier gift tags, you could also use a corner round punch or other decorative punches.

Punch a hole in the top and add string or ribbon:

To use these free printable gift tags for a gift basket, bag, or wrapped package, simply use a hole puncher to punch a hole in the top.  Any hole puncher will do, but I prefer one that punches a tiny hole – like this one.

Cut a piece of string, jute, ribbon or baker’s twine in a generous length. Fold it in half and thread the folded part through the hole. Once it has cleared the hole in the tag, feed both ends of the string through the loop. It makes a lovely finished look.

Loop baker's twine or string through the hole in the tag so it's ready to tie onto a package.
Get your printable gift tag ready to use by looping baker’s twine through the hole.
