How to print off the large scale free printable art at Staples
1. Download the Printable Floral Art
Access the free yellow watercolor floral printable in the VIP Printables Library. The design is sized for 16 x 20 inches and comes as a PDF.
Note: This design is too large for most home printers. You’ll need to print it at a local office supply store like Staples or Office Depot.
2. Save & Print as a Color Engineer Print
- Save the printable to a USB stick or download it directly from Google Drive.
- Visit your local print store and request a color engineer print in 16×20 size.
- Cost: Around $5–$8 (depending on your store).
Tip: Not all stores offer color engineer prints anymore, so call ahead to confirm availability. You can have large scale prints done as poster prints, though – which are printed on much thicker paper – eliminating the need to mount the engineer print on poster board for stability.
Once you have your lovely floral print, I put together a video showing the step by step process of mounting and framing it here:
3. Trim the Print
- Lay your frame over the printed art and trace the inner edge with a pencil.
- Cut out the floral print, leaving a 1-inch margin around each side for wrapping.

4. Cut & Prep the Poster Board
- Trace the frame size onto your poster board and cut it to match.
- On a protected surface, spray a light coat of repositionable adhesive on the poster board.
Be sure to protect your workspace—this stuff gets sticky!

5. Mount the Print
- Center your floral print on the sticky poster board and smooth it out.
- Press firmly to remove air bubbles.

6. Fold & Tape the Edges
- Diagonally clip the corners of the overhanging paper.
- Fold each edge tightly around the back of the poster board and secure with packing tape.

7. Attach to the Frame
- Use a staple gun to tack the mounted print into the back of your DIY wood frame.
- Add a sawtooth hanger to the back, centered at the top.
8. Hang & Enjoy!
Your printable floral art is now ready to hang and enjoy! It’s a quick way to bring soft color and springtime charm to your walls—no expensive artwork needed.

Thanks, Julie! I’ve always wanted to try designing a big free printable. It was so fun to do! Glad you like it.
This is beautiful, Rita! You design the prettiest printables and your framing method works so well with them.
My local stores don’t offer color engineering prints so instead, I have used CVS photos, poster sized.
Thank you so much, Paula.
I was so surprised to discover our local Staples now does engineer prints. They didn’t for the longest time, but we could send away to have them done. I always get so excited when I discover another affordable decor option!!
