Get ready – Amazon Prime Day is Coming Soon!

What is Amazon Prime Day and how do I prepare for it?

I admit it, online shopping hasn’t ever been one of my fortes.

This year has been a crash course for me in that department! Like many others, we had to start looking online for some of our necessities.

A few weeks ago, I heard about Amazon Prime Day, and was curious to learn more about it.

In polling my Instagram followers, I discovered I wasn’t the only one confused about it.

So, I spent some time researching it in depth – and here’s what I found.

What happens during Amazon Prime Day, and what’s all the excitement about?

Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links. As an affiliate for Amazon, I will receive a small portion of commission if you choose to shop on Amazon using one of my affiliate links. It is a way you can support another person’s small business (mine), at no extra cost to you. (Thank you so much!)

When is Amazon Prime Day 2020?

This year, Amazon Prime Days are October 13-14. The official start time is midnight (12 am) Pacific Time on Tuesday, October 13 and runs until midnight Pacific Time on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.

This big event is normally held in July, but was postponed this year due to the crazy situation the world was in!

Thousands of items will be on sale on Amazon during Prime Day

Thousands and thousands of items will be placed on sale during Prime Days. They span through all the departments, and include some of the hottest bestsellers of the year. I’ve read from more than one source that these sales will be even better than Black Friday Deals.

Why is this the perfect time for a big online sale?

There is great speculation that mail delivery times are going to be much slower this year due to much higher volume. So, shopping now for Christmas gifts seems like a very good idea – and will save lots of hassle during the rush of Christmas time.

Do you have to be a Prime Member to get the sale prices?

Yes, you do. In order to be eligible for the discounts and deals of Amazon Prime Day, you need to be a Prime Member holder.

However, I have good news! You have the option for a free 30 day trial of Amazon Prime. I highly recommend it – and now would be the PERFECT TIME to check it out!

My husband and I just became Amazon Prime Members this year, and have found it has been totally worth it. There are quite a few perks for Amazon Prime Members, including:

How to shop Amazon Prime Days using my affiliate links

I’m so grateful for the many people who understand affiliate links and want to support my online business by using them.

If you’re unfamiliar with how affiliate links work, here are the details in short:

  • If a person clicks on a highlighted link or image that contains my affiliate link for that item, I will get a (very small) commission for the purchase of that item – at no extra cost to the buyer!
  • Also, if a person click on an affiliate link to a site (like Amazon) and purchases ANYTHING from that site (not necessarily the item I recommend) within a certain number of hours, I will also get a commission for that item.

It is a way for consumers to help support small businesses (like mine) at no extra cost to them.

If you would like to use my Amazon affiliate links to shop the Amazon Prime Days, thank you!! Here they are for your convenience:
