Every now and then, I dream of what it would be like to own a cute little home decor & gift shop.
In my dreams, it’s a charming old historic farmhouse with a lovely front porch and flowers on the pathway. The smells of fresh brewed coffee and candles would greet customers as they arrive.
Each room would be decorated with pretty and practical items that would fit with the room it was located.
Wouldn’t that be a fun place to shop? I think so.;)
Reality, however, is that I don’t have any plans to open a real life store anytime soon. But, the other day, I got an idea to open an online “shop” of sorts.
It’s a work in process, and today we’re starting with the kitchen.

Shop Farmhouse Cottage Kitchen Decor & Organization with the Harbour Breeze Home Collection
As I began choosing items to fill the kitchen category, I went to my own kitchen. I looked for things that I use and love. Then I sourced out similar or identical products.
LINENS
Towels, dishcloths, and aprons are all useful items in the kitchen. But, don’t just hide them away in the drawer. Hang a pretty apron on a hook. Fold a tea towel on the bar of the stove. They add a cozy feel to the whole room decor.
STYLISH AND PRACTICAL ORGANIZATION & DECOR
Now that my kitchen is much smaller than it once was, I’ve had to think outside the box for storage and organization ideas. (For a full post on exactly how I organized my cupboards, click here.)
I’ve incorporated counter-top storage solutions that look nice and function well. I’ve also used baskets and lazy Susans inside cupboards to help them work well, too.
Linked below are similar items to what I use…and a few on my wish list, too!;)
COFFEE STATION MUST HAVES
Coffee time is a very important tradition in our home. We start each day with a cup of coffee and end each Supper meal with a cup of decaf.
One of the first things we did in our new townhouse was put together a coffee station corner.
I’ll link below similar products to what we use and love on a daily basis:
COOKING ESSENTIALS/ BASICS
Even though I don’t like to cook, (or maybe because I don’t like to cook!) I think it’s important to have the proper tools to work with. When you have the right tools, you can get in and out of the kitchen faster!
Here are some tools I use on a regular basis.
Stay tuned for more hand picked home collections from Harbour Breeze Home. In the meantime, I’m also an affiliate for the following online shops:
