How to Make Easy Daffodil Flower Arrangements

Simple containers combined with the cheery blooms of daffodils can make lovely little daffodil flower arrangements that bring a touch of Spring into your home.

I love looking out the window and see the beginnings of Spring. Daffodils are one of the first flowers we start to see popping up, and its cheery yellow color feels so fresh and cheery after the gray days of Winter.

Whenever I see them blooming, I remember back to one of the houses we lived in previously. The kitchen window looked out to a rock bluff, and as soon as the weather turned warm in Spring, the sun shone on that rock and daffodils popped up all over the place!

If you are near a place where you can cut your own daffodils, do so, and bring them into your home to brighten up your spaces – or pick up a bouquet of them in your local store.

How to make simple daffodil arrangements.

  1. Find some sort of container to use as a vase for your flower arrangements. It can be one vase, or multiple ones! It might be easier if you could find a vessel with a narrow neck at the top, but if not (as you can see below) – you can work with what you have!

This time, I found some jars of random sizes and heights, filled them with water and arranged the flowers sort of “willy nilly”.  I figured that wild flowers should look a little wild!:)

  1. Trim the stems with floral sheers or pruners to be the height that you’d prefer for the vessels you are using.
  2. Place the stems into the water filled vessels in a criss-cross pattern in the jars. When the stems are placed this way, new stems can be put in and will hold tightly, as it forms a natural “web”.
