Before & After Contest

I discovered One Project Closer’s Before & After Contest during a recent blog-hopping foray.   It got my attention as it is a promotion for  Habitat for Humanity.  If you’ve read my blog for very long, you’ll know that Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore is one of my most favourite places to shop.  Yep, a thrift store for home decor and furnishings is right up my ally.   In fact, it was the place I found lots of items for our kitchen makeover – like this light fixture:

That turned into this:

I decided to enter our Kitchen Makeover on a whim.

And, then,  promptly forgot about it.

Until the other day when I got an e-mail saying that Melanie from Bear Rabbit Bear had chosen my kitchen as the winner for the week!  What a delightful surprise.  As a selected winner, I received a $50 gift card (I chose Home Depot as my store of choice), and $100 was donated to Habitat for Humanity in my honour.  I think that’s really neat.
