Turn a Grommet Curtain Into a Pillow
I found this beautiful curtain panel last year when I was searching for curtains for my Dining Room.
It was just what I was looking for. There was a wide band of sandy colored linen on the top and a thick striped cotton below. The only problem was, the store only had one left. Bummer. But, the silver lining was that it was a clearance on a clearance ~ so I bought it anyway. I figured the $5.00 investment would be worth it when I wanted to make some cushions. The Beach Cottage Bedroom makeover was the perfect time to dig it out and use it.
I used the exact same method for figuring out the measurements as I showed you yesterday with the simple linen pillow.
But, this time, the “flap” part would have grommets on them. I just centered them in my measurements when I cut.
And – bonus! – I didn’t even need to hem that end. It was already finished for me!
Once it was finished, the grommeted part became the “feature side” and adds a bit of texture and sparkle to the pillow arrangement.
Tomorrow I’ll be back for the last pillow tutorial {those little envelope ones in the front}.

I love it! If only I could sew!
