Ikea Mirrors Go Coastal!
I think Ikea’s little mirrors with the wide wooden frames are a great invention. I used one earlier when I made a Beach Rock Mosaic Mirror.
I had a few more lying around the house that I had purchased months ago at a thrift store. I needed a few more things to fill up some dead space on the Gallery Wall, so I thought they’d be a perfect fit.
One of them got some beachy blue stripes.
Painter’s tape made painting the stripes easy. {If you try this, be sure to remove the tape before the paint dries.}
The other one got a few polka dots with the help of the end of a fat brush. I just dipped it in the paint and gently touched it down onto the dried top.
They add a touch of fun and help shine a little light, too!
Here are some of the other Gallery Wall sign details, if you missed them:
- Light Reflector Arrow Sign {and basic sign tutorial
- Beach Cottage {Faux} Frames
- Striped & Layered Frame
- Monogram Family Letter Sign (and “laugh” sign)
- Pattern Play Display Frame

You’re a framing goddess! Love these beachy ones so much. All your colors are fabulous!
Oh I sold my old ikea mirrors like these in my garage sale last year… darn! You did such a fabulous job at changing yours up – I love how they look now! The more and more I see the more I think I need to get that book of Ashley’s!
I have a bunch of these mirrors laying around. What a fun way to spruce them up. I am hosting a link party and would love it if you would link up.
