Easy Breezy Weekend Reads | Ideas for your Home

Find ideas for your home from sources all over the web in this edition of easy breezy weekend reads!

Home decor magazines used to be my guilty pleasure.

I’d pour over them in the grocery line checkout, and even bought some subscriptions back in the day.

In fact, after all the purging and decluttering I’ve done, I still have a collection of my favorites – with dog ears and post in note bookmarks!

I started bringing them out recently and find I still love flipping the pages of a good magazine. I love the variety of ideas and articles for home decor, craft projects, and recipes.

So, today, I thought I’d bring back a weekly feature I tried a few years ago called Easy Breezy Weekend Reads.

Just like paging through a fun home decor magazine, I’ll link up some fun ideas for your home that I’ve discovered online this week.

You can scroll through and click on the ones that sound interesting to you!

Home Decorating Tips

I watch in fascination every day as Chris and Julia document thier home renovation on Instagram. But, this article that Julia wrote earlier this week talks about their humble beginnings and tips to start loving your home right now. It has some really good points!

DIY Home Decor & Crafts

As I was perusing Pinterest earlier this week looking for pins for my new Thrift Store Crafts board, I found these amazing furniture craft ideas. The striped basket is the first thing that caught my eye!

I’m loving the “aged terrecotta pots” trend. Here’s a method of aging terra cotta pots that I’d never heard of before.

Joanna Gaines Inspired Farmhouse Decor

You know I love to watch  HGTV and get home decorating tips from the stars. And, yes, Chip and Joanna Gaines are my favourites!:) In my web travels this week, I discovered these cutie patootie placemats (affiliate link) in her Magnolia line at Target.

I think it would be so fun to make a farmhouse style tablescape using those as the inspiration…

And speaking of Spring tablescapes, I just love this one. Krista called it “boho chic”. I call it beautiful!;)

Easy Recipe Idea

What’s for dinner next week at your house?

Earlier this week, I shared our favourite White Chicken Chili recipe. It’s one of those recipes that can just do it all. Make it on the stovetop, in the crock pot, or freeze it ahead. Whichever way you make it, it’s delicious.

Before and After Room Makeover Reveal

I was strolling down memory lane last year and found a blog post of the reveal of our oldest son’s attic room makeover. It was fun to see the before and after pictures again and remember that part of it was the absolute messiest painting project I’ve ever done to date!

Have a great weekend, Friends!

    1. Thanks, Julie! I always love these kinds of posts on other people’s blogs, so I thought I’d give it a whirl again, too!

    1. Thanks, Paula. I love writing these kinds of posts. It feels like sitting down with a good friend and taking about all the “good stuff”!
