Homestyle Gathering 3

Hi, Friends!

I hope you are having a fabulous week. I finally have some time home for the next few days, and I’m going to tackle my kitchen organization. This week’s “tidy up” challenge is the kitchen and it definitely needs some attention! So far, Amy (from @the_fetching_farmhouse) and I have worked on our bedrooms, entryways, and bathrooms. You can see those “episodes” on my Instagram channel highlights. I’m working on some blog posts to go with them, but they’re not quite ready to publish yet.

So, until those are ready…today is party time! I’m excited to introduce you to my real life blogging friend Julie from My Wee Abode as the host today. She and I met last year at the Haven Conference and became instant friends. In fact, thanks to the convenience of Facebook video chats, I “see” her on a regular basis, and am so encouraged by her friendship. You must go check out her blog. She is a new blogger (she just started it last year!), and is knocking it out of the ball park!

Next week I will be hosting the party and then my time with Homestyle Gathering parties will be finished. However,  Kim will carry on providing a great link Homestyle Gathering party experience for both bloggers and readers.

Now, let’s get this party started. I can’t wait to see what you all have to inspire us this week!

Welcome to Homestyle Gathering!

Here we are… Homestyle Gathering #3…. brought to you by Serving Up Southern, Harbour Breeze Home, and My Wee Abode. Bringing together all the best from home decor and homekeeping bloggers from all over “BlogLand”. Bloggers, you are invited to link up on Tuesdays, and readers, we want you to enjoy all the home styling and homekeeping goodness that is shared! Something else exciting about our party – We will be asking a guest blogger to host the party with us every 4th week! So be on the look-out, it could be you! Each week, we select five features from the posts that are linked from the prior week.

So, grab a cuppa your fave drink, make yourself comfy-cozy, and enjoy the beauty that is home.

Meet your hosts:

Here’s what we’ve been up to:

We hope you enjoy this week’s features:

Marissa at Squirrels of a Feather is an amazing organizer AND writer! So many organizing posts seem the same to me, but this one really hit home for some reason. This list of decluttering tips just may be the best I have ever read!

This year, My Wee Abode’s décor for Valentine’s Day is minimal and a bit rustic. This garland from Mary at The Boondocks Blog was actually created by experimenting with different finishes, but the media she used and the rustic result is inspirational.

Bluesky at Home is sharing some lovely and cozy ideas for winter bedroom decor. Carol made those plush pom-pom pillows, and I just think they are lovely! *whispers* She even has a tutorial for how to make them in another post. ;-))

Who doesn’t like Scrabble pieces used on a rustic interchangeable sign?! The “so-close-to-amazing” KariAnne from Thistlewood Farms is showing us step-by-step how to create this cutie-patootie message board! (If you don’t get the “so-close” reference… go check out her blog… and her book!)

And last, but certainly not least… I just can’t pass up a yummy apple crisp recipe. Especially when Michelle from Thistle Key Lane makes it look THIS delectable! I mean, c’mon, Michelle… give a girl on Weight Watchers a break! 😉
