Christmas Around the House {The Living Room}
As much as I’d love to have a big block of time to get all my Christmas decorating done at once, it seems this year I’m doing it in “shifts” ~ fitting it in between all the other things in life.
Today I had a few moments to spend in the living room. Although I’m not finished with the whole room, at least one wall is done!
That little built in bookcase is awfully fun to accessorize.
Again, I tried to use everyday items and repurpose them as Christmas decor. I still haven’t even gotten my Christmas totes out! Here are a few more details…
I wrapped a few picture frames in some new Ikea wrapping paper I bought a few weeks ago and added Christmas printables I found online. They added the pop of red that I was goin’ for.
Beachy white shells and dishes add a crisp white color to the mix and ornaments give it a Christmas sparkle.
My Norman Rockwell book provided me (again!) with some fun free art. I just turned over the art that was previously in there, and put this on the back of it. Easy peasy!
Layered white throws and pillows help disguise the big blue checks on my couch!:)
Now I’m off to dig out those Christmas totes. It’s time to decorate the tree! Yippee!

I love the built in bookshelf! Is that bamboo backing? Good idea wrapping the frames to look like presents too. 🙂
