First “Client” Project~ Basement Organization

Soon after I finished my little basement craft room project, a good friend of mine came over for a coffee time visit.  Of course, I took her downstairs for a tour of the “new digs”.  As we were standing there with our backs to my well-loved washer and dryer and soaking in the new craft area, she turned to me and said,

“Please, please can I be your first client?…Like, will you come help me with my basement?” {My, she is a brave woman!  I’ve never had a “client” before!Smile}

I said, “yes!” faster than you can blink.

You see, I love to organize things.  Some people think it is a slight neurotic condition…  But, honestly, making order out of chaos is one of my true joys in life.

We just got together this week to come up with a “game plan”, and  got started on the whole process.

The Situation:

My friend’s busy life of working full time + volunteering for the community and church + hosting weekly parties at her house, etc. etc. has left little to no time to devote to “Project Organization”.  One of her sons is getting married this summer, and she wants her place looking spiffy for her special family members who will be travelling a great distance for the big event.

The Plan:

We decided to work together in the main room of the basement first and move on from there as time and schedules allow.

So…wanna see what we’ve been up to? {Besides a lot of laughing and drinking copious amounts of coke and coffee?…}

Here’s what the main basement room looked like yesterday morning ~

And here’s what it looked like today at 1:00:

We didn’t do anything in the area of decor yet, but I’ve been researching and “pinning” away on Pinterest.  I’m having so much fun I can hardly wait to keep going…

I know.  Some people think I’m crazy…

{And by the way, my “client” not only gave me permission to share these photos, but encouraged me to do so.}
