Easy Kitchen Wall Art using Free Printables
Ever since we did our $159 small budget kitchen remodel, I’ve been looking for something fun to put above the stove. It just needed a little sumpin’ sumpin’, you know.
I finally found it.
Ashley- from the Handmade Home did a free printable project and included this fun set of 3 vintage kitchen prints.

I love her artwork, and thought it was fitting that I put some of it in my kitchen…since her kitchen was such an inspiration for me! They were the inspiration for this project.
Supplies you’ll need for this easy Above the Stove Wall Art
- Ashley’s set of e free printables
- 4 picture frames, size 8 1/2 x 11
- Yellow acrylic craft paint
- A vintage kitchen tool, scoop, or spoon (to hang in the 4th frame)
Step 1: Prepare the frames
While shopping, I picked up 4 black frames with white mats for $8.00. This project was niggling in the back of my mind.
The color of the white mat was sort of ewwy pink… So I painted them a happy green.
Then I put them into the black frames… They didn’t look right, so I left them alone overnight.
This morning while perusing one of my favorite blogs, I found this inspiration picture…

Oh, I love that happy yellow color against the blue/ gray walls.
That was what I needed to see. So I used my acrylic craft paint and painted all the frames yellow. Then, I hung my Grandma’s antique scoop in the bottom one.
Step 2:
Print off the free printables on cardstock and put them in the prepared frames.

And here it is with some twinkles of sunshine…
It’s happy. I like that.
