Picket Beach Signs {Day 11}
Today’s Plank Sign project is a fun and quick one. My husband took some of the thinner planks and cut the ends to look like the end of a picket fence. I forgot to take pictures of the step-by-step, but here are the final signs:
Here’s how I did them:
1. Base coat top and sides with white and let dry fully.
2. Dry brush on a color of your choice (I used Indian Turquoise for the blue and Apple Orchard for the green) so that a bit of the white shows through.
3. Paint words on with black ink.
4. Once words are fully dry, distress by sanding over it all and letting some of the wood show through.

I love the look of your signs, great colors, very cozy and beachy. : ).. I'm landlocked in Missouri and would love to move somewhere coastal as well. Congrats on getting there too!
