A Fun & Festive Easter Tablescape
Set the scene for a special celebration with this fun & festive Easter tablescape.
I had a fun conversation with a friend over facebook messenger the other day.
She commented that she doesn’t like to do seasonal tablescapes since it costs so much money to do them…
I laughed real hard, and explained that I rarely buy anything new. I have a few staples that I use over and over again. With just a few adjustments – Boom! A completely new look.

Come on in and I’ll show you what I mean…
How to Set a Fun & Festive Easter Tablescape
(using things you already have!)

1. Make a table runner out of paper!

For this particular table setting, I used a roll of natural kraft paper and added a scalloped edge. But, don’t overthink this! You can use whatever type of paper you have. Wrapping paper, wallpaper, or shelf paper would work just fine.
To add a little pop to the rustic brown paper, I layered over a vintage dresser scarf that used to be my mom’s.
2. Look for items in your cupboards that you can layer to make a centerpiece.

Similar to the 5 minute farmhouse centerpiece, this centerpiece was quickly crafted using:
All of these items were just sitting in my decor closet. When put together, they look like it was planned all along!;)
3.Use “fillers” on either side of the centerpiece to add interest to the table top

A vintage sewing machine drawer and a branch flower box filled with faux plants are the perfect size for this simple farmhouse tablescape.
4. Fold the napkins for a fun feature

Aren’t these bunny ear napkins just the cutest?? I got the idea from Sand & Sisal, and added my Grandma’s vintage Easter egg candles in the center.
If you don’t have Easter egg candles, dyed Easter eggs, plastic eggs, or wooden eggs would work, too.
Use neutral colored dishes and let the napkins be the pop of seasonal color

You may notice that I almost always use the same white dishes in all my tablescape ideas. When you live in a small space like we do, there isn’t room for multiple sets of dishes!
White dishes are a perfect backdrop for every season. Colored napkins, layered with checked and striped cotton dishtowels can make the plates fit with all seasons.
Likewise, the woven plate chargers seem to always be appropriate for the casual farmhouse tablescapes I’m drawn to. They get pulled out of the cupboard a lot!

This is such a pretty and happy table! The pop of yellow that the napkins give is so cheerful! Your centerpiece is beautiful and adds the perfect finishing touch. I love it when we can create new looks with items we have on hand! Take care, and enjoy your day!
Rita I love your tables cape and even more I love that you frequently use the same items with a bit of a tweak. I needed the inspiration for thinking of some ideas for my Easter table this year, wanting to make it extra special since we will be at home.
This is a charming table setting! I like the center piece wreath and tulips and the Easter egg wraps. Love the old fashioned image on those eggs too. Have a Happy Easter!
Your table is cheerful and lovely! You are a smart lady for keeping with the white dishes and accessories around them for each season. All your greenery and tulips with the pops of bright yellow make a wonderful Easter Table. I hope you have a nice Easter, stay safe and take care.
