See some fun and creative diy home decor projects from my friend Leigh. You just might want to give them a try!

Hi friends! Today’s guest here at Harbour Breeze Home is Leigh. I met her over on Instagram a few months ago and we’ve become Insta-friends! She has amazing projects always on the go, and I have no doubt that you are going to love them like I do.

Leigh is creative, thrifty, and fun to watch and read. Enjoy this fun little diy home decor projects tour!

Hello! I’m Leigh from the blog The Little by Little Home and I am so excited that Rita Joy has asked me to pop in and share with you today.

A quick little background about my blog. I started it when we moved into a very old farmhouse. It was a fun outlet to share some home decor ideas. As we began making over every single room in that farmhouse, my interest in DIY really took off. We transformed 14 rooms in that home before moving into our current home. We felt the need for margin and settled on a 1915 Dutch Colonial type style home. That was a little over 2 years ago and it’s been so fun to transform each room.

On that note, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite projects with you! But if you want to see all the before and after pictures from room makeovers, I’ve got those HERE.

DIY Home Decor Projects for Every Room in Your House

DINING ROOM LIGHT FIXTURE

I found a drum lampshade on the clearance shelf and had a crazy idea that maybe it would fit…over our current chandelier. A few other parts from the hardware store and it was a brand new chandelier for less than $20! Click HERE to see the process.

SIMPLE DIY FIREPLACE MANTEL

This is the fourth fireplace that I’ve given a makeover too, so it didn’t bother me at all that it looked like it belonged in a medieval castle when we moved in. Once we did some stone work and painted it, the mantel needed some attention. To keep it simple and budget-friendly, we capped the existing mantel with boards from the hardware store. I shared the easy step-by-step HERE.

HOW TO CONVERT A DRESSER INTO A VANITY

The very first project we tackled after moving in was converting an office into a half bath/laundry room. The challenge became doing this all on a budget…and wanting to be creative. Using a sink we’d had in storage and a used dresser, my husband made an amazing vanity. I shared his process HERE!

PAINTED KITCHEN CABINETS

It only took a few days and our kitchen was transformed simply by painting our cabinets. You can see the process HERE. If you are thinking about doing this type of project, I say go for it! And if you are wondering how it holds up, I did a 1 year review as well. Click HERE.

PIANO PAINTING

I’m going to admit that this project is a “scary” one. It’s a commitment, for sure. And I thought about it for a while and then went for it. We couldn’t be happier with this cheerful yellow piano now! I shared the before and after HERE.

Painted Vintage Upright Piano

This has been so fun being over here and sharing a few projects with you. There is a ton more on my blog…along with makeovers, simple recipes, home decor, and a little family life thrown in there. Thank you again to Rita Joy for having me today. This has been fun!
