Chicken Paprika Stew with Perogies

I mentioned last week that I’m super excited to be working with an awesome group of bloggers over at  Sweet Tea and Saving Grace. The truth is, I’ve been praying for quite some time that I’d be able to find a way to work with and collaborate with other bloggers. Sometimes it gets a little lonely up here on my Canadian island when all the great blogging conferences are a long way away in the States! I also want to learn from and be challenged by others who understand this crazy wonderful world of blogging.

This Sweet TeaM of ladies has already been such a blessing and encouragement to me, even though we’ve just started out together. I thought it would be fun to introduce you to all my new friends from there, too! I put a little shout out on Facebook to them and asked if any of them would be willing to share recipes for this series. The response was incredible and had my mouth watering all day!

Today’s recipe comes from Sarah.

You can find her over at her blog, Becoming Martha.

As I read her About Me page, I was thrilled to discover she lives in Canada, too ~ but just on the opposite side of it from me! She’s a Mom to 2 sweet cutie patootie girls and loves to craft and create. We also have something in common. Neither of us really likes to cook! But, as you all know…like it or not, the family needs to eat!;)

I tried out Sarah’s recipe for Chicken Paprika Stew with Perogies the day I got the link. It looked that delicious!

And, it was!! I was trying to make it in a hurry, but it would be the perfect recipe to let simmer in a crock pot all day when the weather is cool. The perogies on the top adds a fun twist to the meal.

Head on over to Sarah’s site for the full recipe and instructions. It doesn’t specify when to put the chicken in, so I put it in with the crushed tomatoes. It seemed to work great. I also added a little more broth to make it a bit soupier ~ but I think it’s one of those recipes you can play around with to make it just the way you like it.
