DIY Bird Ornaments for the Christmas Tree
I wanted to do some new ornaments this year. I set out to make something with a “tattered vintage” look. I had so much fun making Christmas stockings out of burlap and cotton that I wanted to do some ornaments with the same sort of feel.
I’ve never really done much designing of my own crafts. I’m more of a “copier”. But, I’ve been trying to stretch myself a bit and do some original things.
Let me tell you…I’m a very slow designer…
My first try at a bird ornament ended up looking like a 1st Graders art project!…
In the end, this is what they turned out like:
They are made out of damask, burlap, canvas, and different “accessories”. {“Accessorizing” them is my favourite part!}
I’ll be back tomorrow to give you a quick little tutorial on them…

So pretty. I have some chipboard birds I was going to glitter, but you have inspired me – I may change up my direction or just save some to make this cute at a later time!
These are very sweet. I would love to know how to make them. I agree, they would make lovely gift tags.
I just came over from WhisperWood Cottage, congrats on your feature, these are wonderful! t.xoxoox
Those little burlap wings are so sweet! Thanks for linking up to the burlap party at WhisperWood Cottage!
So very pretty – I really like these. Wouldn't these make very pretty gift tags as well!
