Spring Entryway Vignette
This year, I went to Pinterest for all my Spring decor ideas. So far, I’ve found office dresser decor, coffee table styling tips, a cool way to style a bookcase with old cameras, and now I’ve found a way to add some spunk to my entryway dresser! I had already stolen all its decor for other areas in the house, so it really needed some help…
This picture was the answer:
Oh, my. There is just so much I love about that entire space! But, I forced myself to focus on the dresser and the arrangement on it. Here’s what I observed:
- The wooden cutting board added a warm texture. (Who would have thought??)
- White, blue & yellow ~ a fresh, happy color combination
- A shelf above the dresser is a neat idea.
So, using that inspiration, I tweaked it a bit for our situation. Here it is:
My wooden cutting board was quite heavy, so I actually put a hanger on the back and hung it on the wall.
Yellow forsythia from our yard went into a big white pitcher. The other greenery and yellow flowers I found on clearance a long time ago. {Yeah for flowers that never die!:)}
The white enamelware bowl holds some vintage easter egg candles.
It all seems so simple in a picture…but I would have never thought of putting those things together without some inspiration from a picture.
Where do you find your decorating inspiration?
