Fall Living Room (Part 1)
I like to change out the Living Room decor slightly for each season. {You can see our Summer Living Room here and here. Last year’s Christmas Living Room is here and here.} The last time I’ve done any “foofing” {meaning: switching out decor} in there was this past May.
Although I’m so grateful to see the blue sky and sunshine hanging around still, the cool nip in the evening breeze tells me Fall has, indeed arrived.
It was time to do a Fall Living Room “foof”. But, this time it needed a lot more time than a 5 minute fix. It needed some major TLC first.
It was a sad, sad neglected sight.
Even the socks on the back of the couch look sad.
And the coffee table…
Can you say one. hot. mess.?
Oh, mercy. I just couldn’t take it anymore…
Thankfully, it didn’t take long to clean out all the junk. This time, I needed to pull out the vacuum, mop and dusting clothes for some major cleaning. Apparently, I need to do “Fall Cleaning” around here, too!
This is the point that I usually decide to rearrange the whole kitten-kaboodle… But, alas, I held myself back and put it back the way it was.
Ahh…a clean slate.
Then the fun began.
Come back tomorrow and I’ll show you how it turned out.
Looking forward to tomorrow’s update! I know exactly what you mean though, our place is a mess right now but we moved one child into what was the spare room and all the contents of the spare room are currently scattered throughout the house. and I’m painting! 🙂
Have a great day!
