A Little of This and That…

Today was a historic day.  Along with many other historical things (I’m sure…), it was also the last Oprah show.  Immediately after watching it, I did something out of character for me.   With a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes,  I wrote her a letter to thank her for how she has inspired me over the years…(After I hit “Send” my next thought was, “What have I done?”)

5 hours later, I received a reply.

I’ll tell you what…Seeing Oprah Winfrey’s name in my e-mail “in box” made my heart do flip flops.

Now…let’s all pretend that it wasn’t a mass mailing!  Ha…!  However, it was very nice, and I may even frame it for the memory…

I can by no means take credit for all the beauty in my yard right now.  Generations of people who’ve lived in this house have planted beautiful things…and I’m enjoying them today. {Bless their hearts.}
