Motivational Monday
If gray is the new “in” color, our weather is of the stylish variety today. This is the current view out my kitchen window:
Drizzly and “froggy”, as my 19 year old son used to say as a toddler.
I find motivation more difficult on gray, rainy days.
Come to think of it, last Monday was sunny and warm, and I still had trouble in the motivation department!! Maybe it’s a Monday thing??

My husband and I went away for a few days last week. We left our quiet island life and headed to the big city of Vancouver. It was so fun to get away and do something different than the norm. He had business meetings to attend, but it was pure vacation mode for me. I loved every minute of it – except maybe the city traffic.
{me + city traffic = lots of gasping and squealing}
As part of our trip, we were able to visit with some new and old friends.
We were able to experience first hand the gift of hospitality beyond their beautiful front doors.
I also had time to browse around in some beautiful shops and am looking forward to trying to recreate some of the neat ideas I saw there.
I guess I’d better get busy then. Last Monday I had an impromptu “Motivational Monday Craft and Coffee party”. I announced it on Facebook at 10:00 for a 1:00 start. It worked like a charm. I got my house cleaned, supper ready, and my craft projects out in record time.
Hmmm…maybe I should do that every Monday!
It’s so grey here as well. Today I have my sewing machine out, and I’m declaring it a craft day too! Not the best day for photos though. Hope the sun comes your way (and mine) very soon!
Oh Rita! Your first photo is just amazingly beautiful!!! What a view!!! It’s truly a blessing to have that awesomeness outside your windows. ♥ I’d never want to leave….!
