Do you feel your heart skip a beat when you see a good before and after room makeover, and lose complete track of time when Fixer Upper is on HGTV? Do you wish that you could somehow inject a taste of that amazing before and after-ness into your own home…even though you have a budget smaller than the spider crawling across the floor?
Or do you want to look all cute and classy (like a cross between Joanna Gaines and Sara Richarson!) but just wish someone could just tell you what to wear? And mealtime. Oh, bother. Is it dinner time again?
Do you identify? Then, darlin’, you’re in the right place!:)
I’ve been creatively crafting homemaking skills for the past 26 years, and had a chance to practice lots in some pretty fun & challenging situations. In fact, this blog was born while we were living in a quirky old history-filled house at the year round Christian camp where we worked.
Projects took shape with lots of creativity ~ even though the budget was literally a missionary one!:) Before we moved from there, we had done some sort of renovation in every room of the house. These are some reader favorites:
Since this blog was born over 5 years ago, the gallery of craft and diy projects has grown to over 250 ~ all of which are simple and do-able. Some of those projects have met specific needs in our home, others have been completed to add a little income through craft fairs my Etsy shop (and soon-to-come new shop right here on this site), and one even ended up in Better Homes and Gardens!
As someone who has struggled with lack of confidence in the area of fashion, I began a personal style quest ~ taking online fashion courses and learning how to dress to feel “pretty”. Recently, I took a big gulp and started to share what I’m learning on a weekly “what I wore” post.
That’s what you’ll find here at Harbour Breeze Home.
