Fashion Over 40: The Half Tuck Shirt
Watching fashions change fascinates me.
I love it when I can remember when the “new thing” used to be in style.
Take the tucking-in-your-shirt dilemma.
I remember when it was totally in vogue to tuck your shirt in your super high-waited jeans with a super wide belt.
Then it was cool to have your shirts untucked and flowing freely.
Now, it seems appropriate to have a little of each.
I’ve watched it on fashion blogs and found it slightly baffling fascinating from the start.
Having a shirt tucked in a bit in the front helps give better proportion between the legs and body (and the illusion of an acutal “waist”!;))
It’s particularily helpful on a short person like me whose shirts tend to be a tad long sometimes.

Isn’t it funny how we work so hard to make ourselves look just the right amount of easy-going and messy? 😉

Ah yes, the half tucked shirt. I like the way you wear it. I like it overall and will wear the style again…..just don’t bring back tight rolled jeans because there is no way I’m doing that again! LOL 🙂
