Just To Clarify…

The other day I was chatting with my sister-in-law over the phone.  We were discussing my kitchen projects and I had just explained to her that I had used my entire $100.00 budget on my first trip to Home Depot.

Her:  “You’re trying to redo your kitchen for $100.00?

Me:  “…yeeesss…”

Her:…*pauses* followed by little giggles

Me:  “Is that funny?”

Her:  *laughing in earnest now, “Yep. Yep, it is!”

Oh, I love it when I can make someone laugh!Smile

I do think, however, that I’d better clarify. Perhaps my definition of “redoing the kitchen” doesn’t match up with everyone’s definition.  In my “redoing the kitchen”

  • new stainless steel appliances with TVs in the door…
  • granite countertops…
  • new cupboards with shaker style fronts…
  • new floors…

are NOT on the agenda (although they are all lovely things!).   My project maybe should be called “A Kitchen Spiff Up That Makes it More User Friendly and A Little More My Style”.

I don’t want to disappoint any of you with the final reveal, so I thought you’d better have some prior warning…

Whew!  I’m glad we got that all cleared up.

My giggling sister-in-law and her family are coming over for Easter.  She’s one of those moms with such fun Easter traditions.  You know, the kind that involve candy and eggs and hunting for them…  My boys are so excited.

So, “Giggling Sister-in-Law”, “Wonderful Brother-in-Law”, and “two delightful nieces” ,

I know it’s a long trip.  The road eventually leads here – I promise!  We’re praying safe travels for you.

The green grass, blooming daffodils, and ocean-side deck chairs are all ready and waiting…and so are we!

(Oh…family here for Easter…  I’m so excited I can hardly stand it!)
