Fashion Over 40 – Spring Green

I’m so excited that my recent trip to Montana included a few sporadic shopping trips with my sister. It truly did start out as necessity.  The unpredictable Spring weather didn’t always work well with the carefully chosen items I’d packed in my carry-on.  First, I was far too hot with my layered looks and sweaters ~ so we ran to the mall for some cooler shirts.  Then, it snowed!

On the last day before I headed back home, I received the shopping list for Allison’s Spring Fashion Challenge, so I looked for a few items on her list.  I’m not quick to make decisions in the area of fashion, so I was a bit scared.  But, today’s outfit was really fun to put together from a few of the new items I unpacked yesterday.

The Spring green sweater and patterned infinity scarf was at Target.  I pondered some pretty pastel colors, but decided the bolder colors just work better on me.  And did you notice the shoes?

I put them up in the “miraculous finds” department.  It’s a new brand to me (Jambu) and they accommodate my wide upper foot and narrow heel (and need for comfort!).

I love those cute ballet flats that are all the rage right now, but when I put them on, I feet like I’m trying to walk on a piece of cardboard…  These will be my alternative.:)

(You can purchase them here online, but I got these at Herbergers with some great coupons.)

How about you? Have you gone on a fun little shopping trip lately?  It’s ok if you didn’t purchase anything.  Sometimes the fun lies in the thrill of the hunt ~ and the coffee time chats in the process!:)

Have a great day, Pretty Ladies!
