Quick & Simple DIY Clothes Rack
Yesterday I touched slightly on the subject of organization. As you settle in to your house and figure out how your family functions in it, you may run into some organizational challenges.
One of our challenges in this house is closet space…
or more specifically ~ the lack of it!
I’ve never shown you the closet in our Master Bedroom, because, well, there isn’t one!! When we first moved in, there was a strange closet area that made no sense at all…
We opted for removing it in favour of being able to walk in the room!!
An armoire outside our bedroom door functions well for our hanging clothes. We did run into a bit of a snag, though. My husband loves mountain biking, and we needed to find a solution for hanging his biking gear ~ a “grab and go” station.
I’ve strategically avoided showing the picture of this side of the room since I still need to paint the big brown behemoth dresser… But, here it is:
Rather than have the bike gear always hanging off the chair, we decided to put up a clothes rack for it.
{This, by the way, is taken from the same place that the first picture was taken at! The room has changed just a wee bit…}
We just painted a board to match our wall color,
and added hooks from our junk drawer (they came from Ikea originally).
Easy peasy, and practical, too!
DON’T MISS A THING!
