There’s no doubt about it. Throw pillows can add a punch of pizzazz and personality to any space.

5 DIY Pillows you can Sew for Your Home
Here are a few pillow tutorials I’ve done over the years:
DIY Pillow 1: Envelope Pillow with Faux Button Closure
This Pottery Barn Knock-off Pillow perched itself on my living room couch for years. The vintage button is a special one from my friend’s special button collection.
DIY Pillow #2: Hand painted flour sack pillows
These hand painted pillows were made out of flour sack dishtowels. They were a fun project as they were first tea dyed, then painted! The sky is the limit with whatever you’d like to paint on them!
DIY Pillows #3, 4, & 5 – Bedroom accent pillows
The simple aqua linen pillow, envelope pillow, and grommet curtain turned pillow were additions to our Beach Cottage inspired Master Bedroom. They all made use of fabric I had sitting in a drawer and were a pretty addition to the neutral space.
DIY Pillow #6- Burlap Pillow with Applique Anchor
This project was a special bridal shower gift for a friend. It was inspired by one at a fancy gift shop in town. The applique was done with an iron on process, and the rest of the pillow was sewn with just simple straight lines. You can get more details here.
DIY Pillow #7: No Sew Pillow Cover with Printable Iron on Transfer
If sewing just isn’t your thing, then this pillow is for you! It uses a pillow cover from IKEA and a free printable attached with an iron on transfer process. It is so quick and easy to make!
Do you like to accessorize with pillows, too?
